Autism support in Gurgaon

Autism Therapy for Children in Gurgaon

Nurture Physio offers multidisciplinary autism therapy for children in Gurgaon — occupational therapy (sensory and daily-life skills), speech & language therapy (communication), behavioural therapy / ABA (learning and behaviour) and special education — all coordinated by one team at our Sector 46 centre. Every plan is built around your individual child, and parents are involved at every step.

Everything your child needs, under one roof

Autism support works best when therapies talk to each other. At many clinics, families run between separate OT, speech and behaviour centres that never share a plan. Here, one team carries out a single assessment, agrees one coordinated plan, and the therapists communicate week to week — so progress in one area supports the others. Less running around for you, more joined-up help for your child.

Early signs

Signs parents often notice

Spotting these early means help can start early — which is when it tends to work best.

Communication & social

  • Limited or no eye contact, or doesn't respond to their name
  • Few words, loss of words, or speech delayed for their age
  • Doesn't point to share interest, or rarely brings things to show you
  • Prefers to play alone; little pretend or imaginative play

Sensory & behaviour

  • Very distressed by certain sounds, textures, lights or foods
  • Repetitive movements — hand-flapping, rocking, spinning objects
  • Strong need for routine; big upset over small changes
  • Lines up toys, or focuses intensely on parts of objects

Every child is different, and one or two of these alone is not a diagnosis. An assessment gives you clarity — and if support helps, the earlier it starts, the better.

FAQs

Autism therapy — common questions

At what age can autism therapy start?
As soon as you have concerns — often from around 18 months to 2 years, and sometimes earlier. The early years are when the brain is most adaptable, so gentle, play-based support tends to help most then. That said, therapy is valuable at any age, including school-age children.
Do you diagnose autism at the clinic?
A formal autism diagnosis is made by a developmental paediatrician or child psychiatrist. At Nurture Physio we carry out developmental and therapy assessments, build your child's skills, and work alongside your diagnosing doctor. If you don't have a diagnosis yet, we can still assess your child and guide you on next steps.
What is behavioural therapy / ABA — is it play-based?
Behavioural therapy (often called ABA) builds communication, social and daily-living skills through structured, child-led, play-based learning with plenty of encouragement. We keep it positive and individualised, and we coach parents so the same approach continues at home.
My child is non-verbal. Can speech therapy still help?
Yes. Speech & language therapy supports all communication, not just spoken words — including gestures, picture systems (like PECS) and communication devices (AAC), alongside building understanding and early sounds.
How many sessions will my child need?
It's individualised. After the assessment we recommend a frequency — often 2–4 sessions a week to begin across the relevant therapies — and review progress with you regularly. There's no fixed package; we adjust to your child.
Do parents stay during sessions?
Yes — you're welcome and encouraged. Parent involvement and home practice are a big part of why therapy works, so we coach you on simple things to continue between sessions.
