Parent FAQs
Every question is a good question
The ones we hear most are answered below. Anything else — WhatsApp us. Really, anything.
Do I need a doctor's referral to book?
No referral needed — you can book directly. If your paediatrician did refer you, bring any notes or reports along; they help us start faster.
What ages do you treat?
From newborns to teenagers (0–16 years). Every therapist at Nurture Physio works exclusively with children.
What happens at the first visit?
A 45-minute assessment that looks like play to your child: we observe movement, test strength and milestones, listen to your concerns, and end with a clear explanation and a plan — in plain words, with time for every question.
Can I stay with my child during sessions?
Always. Parents stay in the room for every session — you're part of the therapy team, and we'll teach you what to practise at home.
How many sessions will my child need?
It genuinely depends on the concern — a baby with mild torticollis may need 6–12 weeks; a child with cerebral palsy benefits from ongoing blocks. After the first assessment we'll give you an honest estimate and review it together regularly.
Is physiotherapy painful for children?
No. Paediatric physiotherapy is gentle and play-based — sessions are designed to be fun, and most children look forward to them.
What should my child wear or bring?
Comfortable clothes they can move freely in. For babies, bring a feed and a favourite toy. For school-age kids, sports clothes are perfect.
What are your fees?
Fees depend on the type and length of session, and are discussed when you book — call or WhatsApp us and we'll explain everything upfront. There are never surprise charges.
Where is the clinic, and do you do home visits?
We see children at our purpose-built paediatric centre in Sector 46, Gurugram. The play-based environment — therapy mats, balance beams, a sensory corner and child-sized equipment — is a real part of what makes the therapy work, which is why sessions are at the clinic. If getting here is genuinely difficult, talk to us when booking and we'll do our best to help.
My child has therapy elsewhere (OT / speech). Do you coordinate?
Yes — with your permission we share goals and progress with your child's occupational therapist, speech therapist, paediatrician or specialist, so everyone pulls in the same direction.
When should I worry about late walking?
Most children walk between 11 and 15 months. If your child isn't walking by 18 months, isn't pulling to stand by 14 months, or you simply feel something's off — book a check. It's quick, gentle, and either reassures you or starts help early. Trust your instinct; you know your child best.
Still wondering about something?
No question is too small when it's about your child.
