Orthopaedic & Sports Rehab for Kids

Children aren't small adults — their growing bones, joints and growth plates need rehab designed for kids. Whether it's a fracture coming out of cast, recovery after surgery, clubfoot follow-through, or a sports injury that won't settle, we rebuild strength and confidence and get them back to the playground.

Signs parents notice

Sound familiar?

Stiffness or weakness after a cast or surgery
Limping, toe-walking, in-toeing or an unusual walking pattern
Heel or knee pain in active kids (common around growth spurts)
Repeated sprains or a sports injury that keeps coming back
Clubfoot treated in infancy that needs strength and gait follow-up

One tick is enough of a reason to ask. Two or more — book a check.

How we help

  • Post-fracture and post-operative rehab protocols set with your orthopaedic surgeon
  • Gait analysis and re-training for toe-walking and rotational issues
  • Sport-specific strength, balance and landing-mechanics training
  • Load management for growth-plate conditions (Sever's, Osgood-Schlatter)
  • Juvenile arthritis: gentle joint-protecting movement programs

What a session looks like

  • 1Assessment first: strength, range, gait and sport demands
  • 2Rehab that feels like training, not treatment — kids buy in
  • 3Clear return-to-sport criteria so you know when it's safe

Common questions

The cast is off and the doctor said 'normal activity'. Why physio?
After weeks in a cast, muscles are weaker and joints stiffer. A short rehab block restores strength and confidence — and is the best protection against re-injury.
My child toe-walks. Is that serious?
Often it's a habit that responds well to stretching and strengthening — but persistent toe-walking should be assessed, as it occasionally signals an underlying issue. We'll tell you which it is.
